鹿邑妈糊的美食传说

有一年,苦县人民遭了灾,先淹后旱,庄稼减产,甚至绝收。就两样庄稼――大豆和谷子没绝收,神奇般的活了过来,收了一部分。其他庄稼就不行了,有的绝收,有的只收一点点,人们感到害怕,这怎么能活下去。不少人家把仅收一点谷子和大豆留给老人和小孩吃,青壮劳力出去逃荒或打工,打不了工,就要饭,都留在家里反正得饿死完。
一天,苦县城里来一个白胡子老头,腰里带个药葫芦,也可能是酒葫芦 ,手里拿根赶牛鞭子,走到十字路口,胳膊一挥炸了鞭“嗄”,嘴里说;“喝稀别吃干,多活几十天。”
有的人很留意,这个白胡子老头说的有道理,已经有灾了,不能再按正常年景过日子,于是就把谷子去掉皮,加上黄豆一泡,泡成后在磨上一推成了稀糊涂,再放在锅里一煮,一个人吃上两碗,再吃些野菜,榆树皮之类的东西,不就把这一年过去了吗?大家都别外出了,外出说不定会饿死在外面。
一传十,十传百,都猜是老子点化大家不要外出,都喝稀饭,配些野菜,树叶和榆皮之类的,凑合着种上小麦,不致于能把人饿死。
老子这一点化还真有效,家家户户都不再外出。种好了一年的庄稼,人们用磨把泡好的黄豆和小米放在一块,再放在磨上推,磨出来的豆米汁水放在锅里煮,看着很稠,喝到嘴里不挡嘴,好喝极了,由于好喝,并且香甜爽口,不亚乳汁,故名妈(俗指奶水)糊。后来人们通过再加工,再创造,把煮面的黄豆撒在妈糊上,喝起来更好喝,更耐人品味。
一直到现在,妈糊还是鹿邑饮食上的特色食品 ,不但本县人爱喝,外地来的客人也爱喝,在鹿邑妈糊是人们早晚餐的普遍选择。
